📢 Oldham Youth Scrutiny Panel

Yesterday, the Youth Scrutiny Panel met at Oldham Police Station, with officers from the Failsworth Neighbourhood Team leading the session.

The panel reviewed and scrutinised police actions at local incidents, giving young people the opportunity to share their views and provide valuable feedback on policing in their communities. We were also joined by a guest speaker from our Scenes of Crime team, who gave an interesting insight into their role and the vital work they do in supporting investigations.

As always, it was fantastic to engage with the young people, hear their perspectives, and discuss the challenges and realities of modern policing. Sessions like these are invaluable in helping us build trust, improve understanding, and ensure the voices of young people are heard.
